A young lady who claimed to be a student of Novena university, Delta State was caught in the act of stealing in one of the female hostels of the University of Benin, Ekenwan campus.
It was gathered that the lady goes around the campus, telling who cares to know that, she is a newly admitted student who is yet to get an accommodation. So she pleads with the person to accommodate her for the night.
Once that goes through as planned, she goes to the surrounding hostel to steal gadgets such as phones, laptops etc and abscond.
But, she ran out of luck in this very mission. The students have noticed recent cases of missing items, so they've been at alert lately. This time some items were reported missing and an alarm was raised, then the students quickly locked the hostel gate and began a search, that was when someone remembered seeing a random face a while ago.
They finally saw the suspect in the hostel common room and was nabbed, she was taken round the school and made to confess her deeds.
According to reports, she is currently at the security office of the school.
